Task as an offering #3

While preparing the task as an offering for this week, I opened my iTunes and I began to listen to my favorite songs. When looking at the “Tasks as an offering 2” that you have done, I got tears in my eyes… Ladies, how good it is to practice the Word of God, isn’t it? While the “obvious” is to hate those who hate you, we have decided to love them and what do we get in return… We become women who overcome their basic instincts, we overcome our will, we do good to those who don’t even know we exist and our inner feeling is of excellence… we fit in with the Spirit of Excellence of our Creator. :)

I saw that many of you didn’t only pray, but did prayer purposes in the middle of the night, prayer boxes and so on… you surprised me! Keep going ladies and better yet, encourage other women to do the same!

The #taskasanoffering3 is:

So far, you’ve done good for someone in your family and to someone who hurt you, you will now do something good for someone you don’t know. This week, you will approach a woman or young lady (must be female) on your way to work, on the street, at school, at the doctor or mall and do something good for them… you could give them a book, a ticket to see the movie “The Ten Commandments”, an invitation to do the Godllywood Self-Help with you, in other words, you’ll do something good for someone you don’t know — a good that will make a difference in her life.

This time, we want to see pictures, lots of pictures. :) Post a picture with that person, tell us about your experience and don’t forget to use the #taskasanoffering3

Aiming for an excellent spirit!

Darlings,

What was your experience doing the previous task?

Screen Shot 2016-01-29 at 10.40.37 AM Screen Shot 2016-01-29 at 10.59.36 AM

You know, one day, many years ago I did this task with a homeless woman. I was in traffic and saw her sitting on a staircase looking very sad. I got out of the car quickly and went to her to talk to her about Jesus, but her reaction was frightening, she cussed at me. I returned to the car feeling very bad and humiliated, after all everyone who was was waiting in traffic saw that scene.

Sometimes this will happen. You will do what is good and in return receive the opposite, but don’t get discouraged, don’t get tired of doing what is good, what is good will not always be welcomed… unfortunately. It’s like the movie, “The Ten Commandments”, (here in Brazil) which has already begun to do good for many people but at the same time you see how the media is attacking it, denigrating it, arranging arguments to devalue it. At the beginning it doesn’t make sense, why so much jealousy? Why be so angry at a national film? The explanation is simple: good will always be envied, criticized and attacked by evil, but that’s not why it will cease to exist. This has happened since the time of Cain and Abel and will happen until the end of the world, the way is to continue doing what’s good, advertise it and love being part of it. :) By the way, it is also clear who in in the team, isn’t it? Those who are against good, are in favor of evil…

The #taskasanoffering4 is all about this. You’ve done good for a lot of people and this upcoming week, you will focus on doing good to yourself. You may need to rest, take a day to go out with a friend, go to the hairdresser and get a new cut on that long hair of yours, get your annual exams done, take a few extra hours to sleep, read a book, seek God, the list is endless… this task as an offering is to do good to yourself.

And let me tell you, don’t feel guilty in doing that. I know you have many things to do, a lot of people depend on you, but you are only one, you need to be good to be able to do everything you do and sometimes, things don’t always go the way you want them to just because you owe yourself some time. The second commandment is, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. It’s not more than yourself, but as yourself, what you do for your neighbor is what you should have done for yourself… do this in the upcoming week and share it on your social networks with the #taskasanoffering4

When you look at a scar, you immediately remember the pain that caused it. However, there are wounds that cannot be seen and yet are more painful than physical scars. Past traumas, rejection, loneliness, and abusive relationships can leave scars that last for years. And now you may be wondering, “How do I find healing from an inner pain? How can I overcome my past and move on?”
In 2015, the Inner Healing Course helped many women across the country to overcome their traumas, become strong, and start a new chapter in life.
In 2016, it will be no different. The Course is free of charge and will last for twelve weeks. We would like to invite you to take the initiative and give yourself a chance.

Darlings,

I hope that this week was productive for you!

I don’t know if you noticed while doing the #taskasanoffering4, but it’s good to take some time for yourself. You know, sometimes the impression we have is that we are being selfish, lazy or relaxed. While everyone is so busy, you are taking care of yourself… but if you did this task you noticed that while taking care of ourselves, we take care of the people around us and our responsibilities a lot better!

Take a look:

Screen Shot 2016-02-05 at 11.17.05 AM

The #taskasanoffering5 is similar, except it will be a different care, it will be an inner care.

When we talk about taking care of yourself, the first thing that comes to mind is appearance, in resting and shopping lol… but there is a much more important and profitable care than this, that has a great connection with appearance, it is taking care of our spirit. If our spirit is not good, our face will suffer, even with a new look and a lot of makeup. This is the care that you will have this week (and I hope that for the rest of your life from today on).

The first and last thing that you will do every day is pray. You will talk to God. First you will pray the Lord’s Prayer, and then you will ask Him for those more specific things like helping you speak with someone, to open the doors for a better job, help with the day’s exams, to touch those who are not well, to heal you from that pain or illness, and so on… In the beginning of the day, you will pray for that day and at the end of the day, you will thank God for that day.

Let’s take a look at how the Lord’s Prayer covers everything we need on a daily basis:

Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Matthew 6:9-14

Let’s meditate on it…

Our Father who is in heaven – here it is clear that we are praying to the Father and not anyone else. It is with Him that we are talking, what a privilege! We are talking with the Creator of heaven and earth, God almighty, who is also our Father!

Hallowed be Your name – notice the fear when talking to Him, recognizing that He is Holy and therefore we are not talking to just anyone. We have to have respect when talking to our Father.

Your Kingdom come – there are two kingdoms in this world: the kingdom of God and the devil’s kingdom. But the devil’s kingdom is  the one that stand out the most, it’s what is in most of the media, it’s in displays and receives applauses, it’s what can be done wrong, right and what’s right, wrong. But the kingdom of God is often omitted, since many who are part of it are shy… wherever we are, the kingdom of God must be visible.

Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven – before asking anything, before wanting anything, let God’s will be done. This is recognizing that He is Lord and not us!

Give us this day our daily bread – in other words, what is meant for today, to come. Let’s not worry about tomorrow, we will not be anxious, but live the present, we take care of the present so that the future can be profitable.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors – this means that we are always in error with Him and so we need to recognize our flaws daily, we must always be well with our God and with others who fail with us. Never, ever holding resentment or grudges.

And do not lead us into temptation – temptation comes from our own greed, that means that in order for us not to be led into  temptation, we need to stop lusting which leads us to temptation. If we do not deal with our lusts, God will lead us to temptation to expose it!

But deliver us from the evil one – The Lord Jesus teaches us to pray so that our Father can deliver us from evil, which means that evil is everywhere and we need His protection from above daily. We are not self-sufficient!

For Yours is the kingdom – always recognizing that He is the Lord of this kingdom, that is, we are subject to Him.

And the power – The power is His, all that we have achieved, we have because He gave us the conditions to conquer.

And the glory – All honor is due to Him, not us! Don’t expect honor or recognition from others, know that He is the Father and He honors those who honor Him.

Forever – Not just today, not just when everything is going well for you, but when all is not the way you wanted… always, is always!

Amen – this word means “may it be done” that is, you are determined that what you just prayed for will happen, no doubt, but in faith.

If the Lord Jesus taught us to pray like this, it is because we have to pray like this as well. Do this and share in your social networks with the #taskasanoffering5 what you achieved by praying daily in the morning and night… you will be amazed!

Don’t miss our next monthly meeting! Speak to the pastor’s wife at a Universal near you, for the time and location.

Task as an Offering #6

Having a busy life on one hand gives us a bit of a sense that we are being useful, but on the other hand it distance us from those we love most, now imagine from God? If we don’t make time for those we see, imagine for Who we don’t see? The #taskasanoffering5 has to stop being a task and become a habit for you dear friend! When we talk to God first, we start off our day in the right order… God first.

The #taskasanoffering6 will take you to another extreme. :)

Yesterday, Thursday, those who were at the Temple of Solomon participating of the Love Therapy, heard me talk about the importance of women learning to be elegant and discreet. This is something that in the past was a lot more common, mothers used to teach their daughters to be ladies. They were brought up learning to be pleasant. Today… many women learn that if they don’t fight for themselves, they will be stepped on by the world and that’s why women have become somewhat aggressive.

It is common to not accept nonsense from anyone, fight with another woman, start problems, say bad words, dress as if going to a Playboy photo shoot, send nude pictures, speak loudly, walk like a man, go live with the boyfriend, be with different men, get many tattoos, and more… today, women think that this is normal and there are probably some reading this post cursing me for pointing out these behaviors as something bad.

But for those who want help, who want to be a different woman, you need to change your ideas about what is beautiful in a woman.

The Bible teaches us about this in several passages, but the most popular is:

As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout, So is a lovely woman who lacks discretion. Proverbs 11:22

Being discreet is part of what makes a woman elegant. A woman without discretion is a clueless woman. Take a look at what the dictionary says about discretion:

Quality of being discreet, who does not intend to draw attention. The ability of differentiating between what is right and wrong; who has discernment. Characteristic or quality of being modest, pure, who is descent. Someone who does not tell other people’s secrets.

Today, when you have some time just for yourself or if you don’t have, make time (lol) to meditate on discretion and what you have left to be desired. Ask yourself a few questions:

  • How do I treat my husband/ boyfriend/ my parents/ siblings/ my friends/ my boss/ co-workers/ and other women in general?
  • How do I dress for work/ school/ church/ shopping/ at home/ gym?
  • How do I walk? Who do I hang out with?
  • If someone doesn’t know me, what is the first impression that they have of me?
  • How do I talk to people?
  • How do I react when someone “steps on my foot?”
  • Do I have manners with other people?

After meditating about yourself, write in an agenda what you will do differently to be a discreet woman.

If you don’t know where to begin changing, do a search on Google about it. Read the books, “The V-Woman” and “Sexy Girls”. Talk to people who have this quality so that they can help you change. Being more aware about this will encourage you to make major changes. :)

If you want to share with others what you found out about discretion, share them using the #taskasanoffering6

And don’t forget, this month we are still to have our monthly Godllywood meeting. We will speak about a common weakness that it is so subtle that most women don’t know about it. And worse, it hinders all relationships, especially between mother and daughter and wife and husband.

If we want to have an excellent year, we have to start being excellent too. :)

In case you don’t know where the meeting will be, speak to the pastor’s wife at a Universal near you.

Task as an Offering #7

Hello ladies!

Those who completed the #taskasanoffering6 noticed that being discreet is important and how it brings respect and admiration from others. If you haven’t seen it yet, you will, just keep doing this task as a daily routine.

Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 12.12.22 AM Screen Shot 2016-02-23 at 12.13.12 AM

The #taskasanoffering7 will help you keep this routine in your appearance. Actually, this was one of the first tasks of the Godllywood group this year. :)

Do some research on:

  • What kind of clothing is best for your body and age?
  • What colors best go with your skin tone?
  • What kind of shoes go best for your legs, feet and height?
  • What is the best hair cut and color for your face shape and skin tone?

Remember that your research is not about the kind of clothes that you like but what is best for you. I will give you some examples of myself…

Did you see the white jumpsuit I used recently in one of the Love School programs?

LS_PGM-215_005_FOTO-EDU-MORAES

LS_PGM-215_020_FOTO-EDU-MORAES

I put this look together thinking about the following:

  1. I have a triangular body shape, that is, I have wider hips than shoulders, this means that whenever I can, I avoid lighter colors at the bottom so that the widest part of my body doesn’t stand out the most. But the jumpsuit all in one color, disguises it a little, your eyes are not targeted to any specific part of my body. :)
  2. Another factor about this jumpsuit is that it has a boat neckline. This kind of neckline increases the width of my shoulders, giving the impression that it has the same width as my hips. :)
  3. Notice the maxi necklace I used. Its purpose was not only to give color to my look but also to draw attention to the top part… where I’m smaller. :) I did not use a belt with the jumpsuit, because the belt would have cut me in half, making my waist stand out and at the same time my hips, undoing what I was trying to hide with my look. You also need to decide if you will use a belt or necklace… you can’t use both, it would be too much for one look… And since the it’s a maxi necklace, I used smaller earrings to prevent competition.
  4. The black sandals were just to get away from the obvious. Anyone would have used nude or any other color… I chose black. I like to get away from the obvious, a dear friend taught me that and since then, I’m always looking for a way to do so, but I don’t always get it… it seems to give the look a fun twist, you know?
  5. I have an oval shaped face, and when I lose weight, it looks more define and this cut suits me, it gives my face more volume and also a modern touch. Moreover, it is a cut that rejuvenates me and that’s good, very good. :) This hair color looks good with my skin tone, contrary to platinum blonde, which makes me look pale and older.

I used the black jumpsuit this week for the TV program, “Fala que Eu te Escuto” (Talk and I will listen):

IMG_2592

  • The length of the jumpsuit was shorter so I went with low-heel leopard shoes to make the look a bit more casual. Animal prints give that effect. :)
  • And since the jumpsuit is black, it has the “gift” to make you look slimmer, I love that! Not to mention that aside from being sophisticated, I was able to use maxi earring and a sparkly green ring that adds elegance to the look.

Anyway… both looks were put together for my body type, skin tone and my age.

Do some research and if you want, share it on your social networks using the #taskasanoffering7

Part of being a discreet woman, is to know how to dress for your body, your skin tone and your age.

Oh… and this week’s news is that this jumpsuit is now available on the new website of LA SAGE!

Hello darlings!

I can imagine that the #taskasanoffering7 was really fun and surprised many! That’s right, but it’s not over… lol… the #taskasanoffering8 is a complement. :)

In this task you will have to share what you learned about yourself with your friend like sister, and she will do the same. Plan a day to get together this upcoming week, maybe have some coffee, a walk at the park or the mall, all so that you can talk about the last task and learn from each other!

Take a photo together where you decided to go and post it on your social networks with the #taskasanoffering8

That simple… enjoy!

A Little Secret to Obey your Parents

$

The other day we received a question like this:

“I really want to obey my mum, but I can’t…what do I do?”

I already went through this when I was a child, so, I have the answer for this question!

Let’s start from the beginning:

Why don’t you obey?

Usually the answers are the same:

  • “I am lazy to do what she asked me to do”,
  • “She asks me to do things when I am playing”,
  • “I want to do something but she asks me to do something that I don’t want to do”.

The bottom line is that you generally use your emotions.

Feelings of laziness, feelings of wanting to keep on playing, feelings of not wanting to do that in that certain moment, but if you use your reasoning, you will see that you are able to obey her.

For Example:

You want to keep on playing but your mum asked you to help her with something. What’s better? That you keep playing or stop for some minutes and do what she has asked you to do?

Let’s think of the consequences:

If you keep playing, you will surely have problems. But if you stop playing and you do what she asked you to do without complaining, when you finish what you were told to do, you can then go back to play.

Which attitude will bring good consequences to you?

Of course, it is when you chose to obey!

When you reason (brain), the consequences will be better than when you use your heart.

Ah…! If I only knew this when I was a child (LOL), certainly, I would have avoided my mum to be upset at me!

Hello darlings!

The task for this week will help you put into practice the posts from this week about pride and humbleness, are you ready? So come on!

The #taskasanoffering9 is to do something that goes against a pride that you have identified about yourself. Examples:

  • You don’t like to ask for help — this week you will ask someone for help.
  • You don’t like to depend on anyone — this week you will teach someone how to do something you do and allow them to develop on it. You will trust them.
  • You don’t like to be rebuked — this week you will confess something that you did wrong to your superior or to someone without fear of the consequences.
  • You are biased with a certain group of people — this week you will find someone from this group to build a friendship with.
  • You did something wrong against someone and never apologized for it — this week you will look for that person and ask for forgiveness for what you did or felt against her.

Anyway… identify where you have been proud and do something against your pride in the upcoming week. This time, you will share what you have identified about yourself with your friend like sister, and she will pray for you.

Do not forget to share what you did in your social networks with the #taskasanoffering9 just as the world shares everything that’s bad, why shouldn’t we, who do good share everything that is good?

PS. Don’t miss our next Godllywood Self-help meeting. Ask the pastor’s wife at a Universal Church near you for more information.

What do you mean? All I think of will happen?

Can you imagine good things happening simply by your word? That’s right girls! God gives us this possibility. But there is a tiny rule for this:

It is written in Philippians 4: 8

“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right; whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report; if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think of these things”

Furthermore, in Isaiah 14:24, it says:

“As I thought, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand”

Do you know what that means?

That if you think of things that will show God in your life, that is, think of things that will glorify and honor Him, then it will come to pass.

But, have you ever asked yourself:

  • Why think bad of a friend or even make an enemy?
  • Why plan revenge against someone?
  • Why wanting to know of something that will not do you well?
  • Why think of bad things?
  • Why make up lies?
  • Why do wrong when you know what is right?
  • Why continue being disobedient?
  • Why waste time on things that are not spiritual?

Well…see how much time we waste thinking about things that will not glorify God! And do you know what’s worse?

It’s that we are missing a great opportunity to think the thoughts of God but instead, we make these bad thoughts become true in us.

And the best thing is that God’s thoughts are much higher than ours, and when they are performed in our lives, we are more than happy!!

Let’s change our thoughts?

Who is in?

When I converted

I had just turned 12 years old when I started to attend the church. It was July 1997, on a cold afternoon in São Paulo…
My family and I were in search of God, and even as a child, I, myself felt a need to meet Him.
We had visited other churches, but we didn’t feel comfortable with any of them, until one day the UCKG was opened on the corner of my street and this was the door to my salvation.
One Sunday evening we went to church and I loved everything about it, even the smell of the church was pleasant. I saw the assistants who looked beautiful, like angels from heaven and within me, I decided: I will never leave this place!
Months passed by, but I didn’t know how to truly surrender my life to God. Until one day an Assistant spoke to me and explained:
“- To surrender your life to God means to stop doing all the things that displease Him. To convert to Jesus means we need to do the opposite that this world asks of us. If the world wants you to lie, speak the truth; if the world wants you to say swear words, don’t talk; if the world wants you to rebel, be obedient.  Well, those words remained with me, and there was a thirst to know God and to have His Spirit in my life. So, I decided to get baptised in water.
I was still wearing short skirts and tight clothes, I had many friendships with friends who were not of faith, but on the day I got baptised in water I decided that everything would be different. A new girl was raised through my baptism, I was different. I remember on that day, my mother asked me to go to the grocery store on the corner, but I said:
“Yes mum, I will, but I’ll change before I go.”
I don’t know what happened to me, but I didn’t feel comfortable going out wearing short and tight clothes. I changed my clothes and I was happy because I realised that for the very first time  I was able to hear the voice of God and obey it. From that day on, I began to watch the clothes I wore and the way I spoke as I very fond of speaking slang and soon after came the baptism of the Holy Spirit but I will tell you how that happened in my next post.
To finish, we are only able to hear God when we reject everything that displeases Him and what is wrong, this means everything that this world offers us.  When we do this, we change, our thoughts change and there is only room for Him within us.
Trying to do what is right before God means turning your back on the world, through drawing closer to God you will start to see the change in you.

Oh laziness!

Hello girls, today I came to speak about a topic that has left many mothers upset with their daughters: laziness.

I remember when I was young and my mom would tell me: “Nadia, go wash the dishes!” and I would answer: “I’m going mom”. That conversation lasted the whole day, my mom would loss her patience up to the point that she couldn’t take it anymore and gave her final shout, that was when I would finally go and do what she was ordering me. My mom would get really irritated, and so would I, because I didn’t want to stop watching TV to obey her and wash the dishes.

Now a days that is still happening a lot, whether to help mom at home, to take a shower, do your homework, ultimately, you know that it makes your mom angry when she has to call you more than once.

Look at what the Bible says: “Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise!” (Proverbs 6:6)

In other words, those who are lazy aren’t wise…the ant is wise because it doesn’t stop. It is always working to built it’s house and to gather food, but in the other hand those who are lazy aren’t wise because many times they waste their time on useless things that don’t bring them any benefit.

That turns into a big problem at home, your mom stresses out and you get mad because she is on your case about getting things done… This can all be avoided if you obey and immediately do what she is asking of you.

So shall we follow the example of the ant? The ant is wise, it doesn’t stop, but what is most important is that we will not irritate our mom or God.

I think that like most babies, I was born and remained bold up to my 2 years of age… My mom liked to dress me up, so she would put headbands and ribbons on me because if I was not wearing a dress, people would confuse me for a baby boy jejeje.

Time went by and when I was 2 years old curly hairs began to grow. Every time that my mom tried combing my hair she would end up upset with me because it would hurt and I didn’t like it. So to reduce the discomfort my mom began to comb my hair while wet.

When I turned 5 years old, I began to go to school and I would see the hair of my friends. Some had straight hair, others had it like mine, others had it even curlier, and I didn’t understand why so much difference. I wanted to have straight hair!

I asked my aunt to straighten my hair so that it would be long and straight jejeje. However it was all just an illusion, because when I would wash my hair it would go back to being curly and I would cry.

There was a time when I wanted to have bangs in order to be like my friends. The hairdresser told me it was not possible since it would not look nice with my hair… Once again I ended up sad, I didn’t accept having curly hair, I wanted it straight!

Until one day my dad tired of hearing my hair complaints told me:

  • God made everyone different, but everyone is special to God. Regardless if you have straight, curly or super curly hair, or however, He loves you and thinks you are beautiful because you were made according to His image.

This is true; each one of us has a unique beauty. Imagine if God would had made us all with the same hair? There would be no point right? So take advantage of the beautiful hair God gave you with beautiful accessories, combing it differently, and becoming each day more beautiful. So shall we put on a beautiful accessory?

The games and I…

In a modern era as the one we live in today, it is very hard to find a child or a teen who doesn’t have a computer at home, a tablet or a cellphone.

These devices were created with the intention of helping us with our job, at school, and even to make a call when a landline phone is not near by.

However, as the years have gone by we have seen that adults and especially kids spend hours of their precious day playing games on their cellphones, tablets and computers.

I have seen this from up-close, moms who complain that the school year barely started and their daughters are already having problems with their school work because of such games, and that they can’t have a normal life because they spend hours and hours playing…

In the old days, we didn’t have all these things and we were happy, we would gather at grandmas house on Sundays to play with our cousins, in the middle of the week we would play with our dolls and we would have many fun stories to tell.

Me personally, up to this day love to ride my bike and roller-skate. We would play for real and not virtually, it was hard find a kid who was overweight and do you know why? Because no one would stand still.

So my little friends, enjoy your childhood, be a child, play with your dolls until you can no longer, don’t become a hostage of games that only addict you and do you no good.

What do you like playing the most?

In our childhood and adolescents, many of us still have the habit of jumping, running, speaking loudly, sometimes we get into conversations that we shouldn’t and we don’t have the notion of it.

However, like girls of God that we are and being part of Godllywood, since we are a step away from graduating, we will be able to analyze ourselves and change a few behaviors.

Shall we learn what they are?

  • Don’t run in church;
  • When we wear a dress or skirt, we need to be cautious of how we sit, always with our legs closed;
  • Try to speak in a soft tone and not so loud;
  • Wait for your turn to speak;
  • You need to behave in the CBC, and not give any reasons for the Volunteer to call your attention;
  • Don’t speak during the services, pay attention to the pastor or to whoever is doing the service;
  • Be polite and when you arrive at a place greet the people there, this is being cordial…

Well, I could write a long list about the good behavior of a girl of God, but since it is not possible, I have a tip for you.

If you are close to God, He will direct you on how to behave, dress and how to show Him through the way you are and behave.

Being close to God means seeking Him always – not only at church, but always praying in your thoughts. This is being in Spirit and close to Him. Many times there is no need to get on your knees in order to pray.

At school even, in your recess, you can talk with God, praising Him with your thoughts and without saying a word.

The best thing we could hear is: “I see God in you”; “You have something different from the other girls your age”; that is better than any compliment you can get about your clothes and hair.

This way you will be able to win other girls for Jesus, and you don’t have to talk to them about Jesus, your life will be and example and they will have the desire to be different like you.

So how about we become little ladies of our Lord Jesus?

If they do it, I will do it too!

The biggest problem is justifying something wrong that we do by saying that everyone else does it.

  • She cheats in class because everyone cheats;
  • She says bad words because everyone says them;
  • She eats junk food because everyone else eats it;
  • She dates in secret because all the girls her age are dating;
  • She uses short and tight clothes because that is the style;
  • She lies because everyone lies…

The list is long huh?

This is why the consequence of doing what is wrong falls upon everyone, so:

If you do what is wrong, just because everyone else does it… sooner or later you will pay the price of that mistake like everyone else will pay for it.

Is it really worth it?

Task as an Offering #12

Hello darlings!

If you did your last task correctly, this past week was very profitable. :) Now imagine if every day was like that? If you strive to  be the best at everything?

  • Best mother
  • Best daughter
  • Best wife
  • Best friend
  • Best neighbor
  • Best sister-in-law
  • Best daughter-in-law
  • Best mother-in-law
  • Best student
  • Best teacher
  • Best professional
  • Best assistant

Sometimes we think that to be better, we have to have specific conditions when in fact, all we really need is the will to be better and start somewhere.

Today is Good Friday and do you know what happened? God gave His best for us.

He was always the Best Father, Best Friend, Best Husband but even so, people were not moved, they lived distancing themselves from Him, so He eliminated the distance by offering His only Son for us. And that’s what sometimes is missing… eliminating the distance.

God didn’t only do His best for us, He gave His best for us. The #taskasanoffering12 will challenge you to do the same: give your best to God. How?

This week you will:

  1. The first thing that you will do in the morning is talk to Him. Tell Him what you need on that day, ask Him for guidance, wisdom, protection and for Him to show you His will.
  2. After that, you will meditate on the Word of God. It doesn’t have to be an entire chapter, but you need to meditate. You will read, think and try to understand what God is trying to say in that verse, with that word. If you don’t have a Bible, you need to urgently get one.
  3. Choose another time in the afternoon to talk with God and then before bed do the same.
  4. Prepare an offering that you can put inside of a beautiful envelope, with a card where you can write all your worries, anxieties, fears, doubts as if you were handing them to Him — and give it in God’s House. Don’t put change in that envelope, your offering must represent your appreciation, your love for God.
  5. Choose at least three days this week to go to God’s House and wear your best clothes, fix your hair, put make-up on and get ready to meet Him. If possible, arrange with your friend like sister to do this together.
  6. Then come back here and write your experience with this task through your comment. :)
